Edlesborough pre-school playgroup provides the opportunity for children to learn through play in a safe and stimulating environment, learning to share and enjoy the company of other children. We offer a wide range of activities that encourage children to explore the world they live in and learn from their experiences.

As an early years education provider, we are regularly inspected by Ofsted to ensure a high quality education for children in our care. Inspections are based around the Early Learning Goals which form the Foundation Stage of the National Curriculum. All our staff are checked by the relevant authorities to ensure their suitability and all are qualified or working towards qualification according to DfES standards. This means that our leaders must be qualified to level 3 and assistants to level 2.

The pre-school is Managed by an elected committee which ensures that major decision making is in the hands of the parents who use the group. The committee is responsible for reviewing both policy and practise, and for the employment and appraisal of members of staff.

If you are interested in joining the committee to contribute your ideas, please contact Rebecca Newbert on 01525 221322.
